Stephanie McCrary

Hello and welcome! My name is Stephanie McCrary and I am a counseling intern, currently completing my Master’s of Social Work through Virginia Commonwealth University. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, authenticity, and support.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel intimidating, and that we sometimes minimize our struggles because taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming. My goal is to meet you where you are with warmth and encouragement. I strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered as they work towards personal growth and healing.

I provide counseling for individuals ages 16 and up, who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, substance use concerns, work-life balance challenges, women’s issues, and major life transitions. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I utilize evidence-based modalities including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
